I love working at a bookstore and being able to talk books. I love a variety of genres but right now I am in my Young Adult paranormal/odd love stories phase. I'll read just about anything paranormal, but I can't seem to get into the zombies and mermaids so don't expect to see any reviewed by me. I am really into the ever evolving angel genre as well as anything dystopian, and of course vampires. None of this, of course, has anything to do with my degrees. I have a BA in Art History and European History and a Masters in Public History with an art history focus. When I am not working at the bookstore or reading, I am teaching art history. I grew up in a small town and moved to Albany eight years ago and I am currently planning my wedding (which has a book themed reception). I am an odd girl with odd interests but hey it seems to work!

Cassandra Clare’s Mortal Instuments series will come to a dramatic conclusion in City of Heavenly Fire, due May 27th 2014. This young adult paranormal series follows Shadowhunters Clary, […]

New Year New Adult Romances

It’s a new year and with a new year comes a ton of books. Some of New Adult and Romance’s celebrated stars will be releasing the next book in their series or even starting new ones, and I for one can’t wait. Kresley Cole’s new book, The Professional, is a romantic mystery. Natalie hires a […]

New Adult- What?!

Everywhere I look they’re talking about this new genre- “New Adult”. I asked for some clarification but it seems everyone’s opinion varied. Here’s how I understand it: New Adult is aimed at the mature 18-30 year olds. The books tend to have mature sexual themes and lately the ones I’ve been reading all have some […]

Dare You To by Katie McGarry

Dare You To is an amazing book that showcases the vast differences between two very different people. Ryan always does what his parent’s ask. He’s the good son in a family that’s only hanging by a string. Beth’s life has fallen apart and the man who abandoned her a decade ago comes riding in like […]

The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden by Jessica Sorensen

Hello Bloggers! I know it’s been awhile but stay tuned because I have read some amazing books lately! First I’d like to start with this gritty novel that’s as much a romance as an exploration of how our childhoods shape us. Callie is a victim- of what we only get small insights to and Kayden […]
