From my previous post on The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, you can probably tell I really enjoyed it. I immediately began reading The Girl Who Played with Fire, the next in the series, which will be out in hardcover on Tuesday, July 28. Holy smokes! (Pun intended.) I could not put it down. Yes, I went to work and the gym and my Pilates classes, but really, my mind was in Sweden with Salander who is running from the police who suspect she’s committed a series of grisly murders, and Blomkvist, who is convinced of Salander’s innocence and is conducting an investigation of his own. Plot twists abound, tension mounts, and the reader is left gasping right up until the last page of these terrific mystery.
Warning–read the first book first! You do not want to spoil the slow accrual of information on Salander’s past by reading them out of order.
Now, of course, I am left waiting impatiently for the third and last book in the series……….
