Renoir: Impressionism and Full-Length Painting: The Book and The Exhibit

Renoir: Impressionism and Full-Length Painting

This February the Frick Collection in New York City opened a new exhibit, Renior: Impressionism and Full-Length Painting ( 2/7/12- 5/13/12). The exhibit and companion book examine Renoir’s use of full-length canvases. His Impressionist works  explored contemporary life and fashion and today he is regarded as one the premier Impressionist artists. Through his works we get a glimpse of the faces and fashions of late 19th and early 20th century Paris.
