Last year Puffin released new editions of children’s classics with introductions by contemporary children’s authors. The results are impressive! The prices start at $4.99. The cover art is attractive, the size and feel of the book are perfect for kids, but adults wouldn’t mind being caught reading these in public. Right now there’s a promotion: you get a free tote bag if you buy two. But my question is this: how can you buy ONLY two! Come check out the display at the store. Here are a few of the available titles. But there’s plenty more.

Puffin Classics
Peter Pan by James Matthew Barrie, introduction by Tony DiTerlizzi

A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, introduction by Roddy Doyle

There are more but I seem to have lost my list between the store and home.
